Fish Pie recipe

This is another easy to bake recipe, ideal for once in a while when you feel like fish.

You can make this meal ahead of time and heat up later on (be sure to add 5-10 minutes to the cooking time).

Making time 25 minutes

Cooking time   25 minutes




400g   haddock or cod fillet

400g   mixed potatoes/sweet potatoes

½   onion or pepper

50g bacon

25g         butter

40g   flour

1 small can tomatoes

25ml milk

salt, pepper & parsley



Chop onion or pepper

Dice bacon

Cut fish into 5cm square piece

Fry in butter for 10 minutes (do not brown)

Peel, boil and mash potatoes

Stir flour in with fish, add tomatoes and boil

Pour into dish, top with potatoes and bake for 25 minute, GM5


A mild soup (e.g. mushroom) with the fish also tastes good
