Greek Lasagna

Greek Lasagna

1 pound extra lean ground beef (4% fat)
1 cup onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon oregano
1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
10 pieces lasagna noodles
28 ounce can diced tomato
3⁄4 cup cream
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1 tablespoon olive oil


1) Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer
pink. Drain the grease. 2) Add oil to empty skillet, add salt and onion and cook
until soft, about 3 minutes. 3) Stir in garlic, oregano, and cinnamon and cook for
30 seconds. 4) Return meat to the skillet, add 2 cups of water, and bring to a boil.
5) Scatter pasta over the meat but don’t stir. 6) Pour tomatoes over pasta, cover,
and bring to a boil. 7) Reduce heat and cook covered for 18 minutes, stirring
occasionally. 8) Stir in cream and continue to cook for another 4 minutes to
thicken. 9) Sprinkle cheese on top.
